    How much rainfall is required after applying Scotts STEP 1 Crabgrass Preventer Plus Lawn Food for best results?
    I applied my step 1 and then we got over an inch of rain that same day. Following this, we then had a day rain- free but then the next day we also had substantial rain. Should I reapply and how long time, if any, do I need to wait?

    According to the Step 1 Crabgrass Preventer plus Lawn Food product label, for best results the lawn should receive 1/4 to 1/2 inch of water or rainfall within 2-3 days of the application.     When using the Scotts STEP 1 Crabgrass Preventer Plus Lawn Food, you can mow 2-3 days after applications or mow 2-3 days before.

    What happens if the grass is wet when step 1 is applied?
    We have a light drizzle every day here, and I need to get step one applied before we leave town for an extended time. What will happen if the grass is wet when I apply the step 1 crabgrass preventer plus lawn food?
