    Can Scotts Step 3 Lawn Food with 2% Iron be applied twice, June and July?

    Scotts Step 3 Lawn Food with 2% Iron is designed to be applied during June, July, and August. If you feel your lawn would only need two applications and only want to apply the product in June and July, that is okay as well. Per the manufacturer, just make sure you allow 4-6 weeks between applications.

    As long as each product label is followed for rates and instructions there should be no issue applying Scotts STEP 3 Lawn Food With 2% Iron at the same time as Grub Ex.

    Areas that are treated with Scotts STEP 3 Lawn Food With 2% Iron can be mowed 2 days after application.

    Can Scotts STEP 3 Lawn Food With 2% Iron be applied along with a crabgrass and weed killer?
    A

    If the granule rates for both the Scotts STEP 3 Lawn Food With 2% Iron and the Crabgrass & Weed Killer Granule you are using are the same per 1000 sq ft, then applying at the same time shouldn’t be an issue.

    Otherwise 2 separate applications will need to be applied. If the lawn is under any stress from heat, drought, heavy rain or disease – then we would recommend waiting 7 days between the applications.
