    Can it be used indoors to treat for bird mite infestation?
    Is this product safe and effective for indoor bird mite infestations?
    A
    SePro Akari 5Sc Miticide/Insecticide is only labeled to be used in and on greenhouse and nursery ornamnetals, greenhouse cucumbers, greenhouse tomatoes, nonbearing fruit trees and vines, Christmas trees, and interior ornamental plantings and plantscapes. It is not labeled for bird mites.

    We would recommend using a product like EcoVia EC. It is labeled for mites and can be used indoors as well. It is made with botanical oils. You will use 1-2 oz.  per gallon of water. Thoroughly spray all cracks and crevices where insects may hide or enter the building. Some of these areas include baseboards, floorboards, corners, around water and utility pipes, behind and under refrigerators, cabinets, sinks, behind and beneath equipment and appliances, around floor drains, window and door frames and other possible pest harborage sites. Do not apply directly to house plants. Cover/avoid any pools or aquaria prior to spraying.

    What is the application ratio for one gallon mixture using SePRO Akari 5SC Miticide Insecticide?
    The label instructions are for 100 gallons.

    Unfortunately, the product label for SePRO Akari 5SC Miticide Insecticide does not provide the application rate in 1 gallon of water, only 100 gallons. To figure out the 1 gallon rate you can divide the rate for what you are treating for by 100. For example: The rate for spider mites is 16-24 oz. per 100 gallons of water. You would divide 16-24 oz. by 100, which is 0.16-0.24, so the rate would be 0.16-0.24 oz. per 1 gallon of water.

    How many gallons of ready to spray product does a 32 oz bottle of SePRO Akari 5SC Miticide Insecticide make?

    A 32 oz bottle of SePRO Akari 5SC Miticide Insecticide will be mixed to make 100 gallons of solutions. Most applications are 1-2 pints for a spray volume of 100 gallons. Please refer to the product label for specific instructions on your targeted pest.
