    Q
Will spraying Sevin Concentrate for fleas outdoors harm my free range chickens?
    A

Sevin Concentrate is not labeled for fleas nor approved to be used around poultry.  Talstar P  would be a better option.  It is labeled to be used in poultry houses and chicken pens and is labeled for fleas.  Chickens must be out of the area while you apply Talstar P but can return as soon as everything is dry.

  • Asked by Trey from Blain, Mn
    07/05/2018
    Q
When using Sevin Concentrate with a hose-end sprayer, what is the correct setting at 1.5 oz per gallon?
I have a 32 oz garden hose sprayer. It's a TBSP dial 1-10. I'm assuming I add Sevin without diluting it to this sprayer since it's attached to a garden hose and dilutes for me.. I'm confused.
    A

Because every hose-end sprayer is different, we cannot say specifically what setting you will need to use. The water is just acting as a carrier for the concentrate, so you should start with a low setting and see how much water you use to cover a small area and then adjust your settings accordingly. There is more detail in the chart of page 5 of the Sevin Concentrate product label.

    Q
What can I use to spray on sweet potatoes? Something is making holes in the leaves.
    A

Sevin Concentrate can be used to treat various pests on sweet potatoes.  It would be a good idea to get an identification of the pest you need to treat for so that you can be sure you are choosing the best product for your needs.
