Most folks need to visit their doctor to receive the medication needed to get rid of scabies. You may spray your furniture with a product such as Steri-Fab to kill anything on furniture, though treating the home is usually not necessary.

Dust such as Sevin Dust can move with the wind if it is applied very heavily or to very dry areas. We do not think there would be concern about being on the deck above where the product has been used. If you wet the area with a hose or watering can, then the dust will break down more quickly and be absorbed into the ground.
When using Seven Dust 5%, this product does not leave behind any soil residual. We do want to caution you, though, if you are applying this close to a well opening; as a precautionary measure you might want to cover the well opening with a tarp just so that no product flies into the well opening by mistake or wind carriage.
