I’ve been using Talstar for years around my home exterior, for mosquito control in my lawn, and in garden bed areas. Its worked well for the time that Ive been using. However, Im wondering if I should consider rotating with something else to prevent resistance?
Yes, rotating insecticides is a good idea to prevent resistance however this normally takes years to happen. Some customer rotate every year or when they start to notice the product may not be working as well as it did in the beginning. It would not hurt to use another active ingredient for your next treatment, a great alternative to Talstar is Suspend SC. Mix 1.5oz Suspend SC with 1 gallon of water along with the Archer IGR for Mosquito control
