With any herbicide such as Scotts Turf Builder Bonus S Southern Weed and Feed 2, a fertilizer or fungicide, it is recommended to avoid mowing withing 2 days before or 2 days after the application for best results and to ensure the yard is not under additional stress and will ensure better uptake of any product used.
