    Q
Can Snapshot be used with planting of Nassella trichotoma?
    A

Snapshot 2.5 TG - 50 lbs. does not list Nassella trichotoma as tolerant to an application. This does not appear to be something common to the US so the manufacturer does appear to have tested Snapshot around it.

Does Snapshot or Freehand prevent bulbs from growing?
Curious if I spread freehand or snapshot on a flow bed with different bulbs if it will prevent them from growing?
    A

Snapshot 2.5 TG may be applied following bulb emergence but should not be applied to bulbs while they are flowering per the manufacturer. Please refer to the product label for specific application instructions for this area.

have you any results for St. Augustine? See reference: https://www.bestgardenoutdoor.com/best-herbicide-for-st-augustine-grass-weed-killer/
    A

Snapshot 2.5 TG should not be applied to turf grasses. Snapshot 2.5 TG is meant to be used in landscape beds and around trees. We do carry pre-emergent herbicides such as Andersons 0.48 Barricade Herbicide that can be used on turf grasses like St. Augustine grass.

  • Asked by Ralph from Nc
    04/15/2021
    Q
Can I use Snapshot in mulch beds?
I have mulch beds with varies plants. I have weeded, but onion weeds keep returning.
    A

Snapshot 2.5 TG is not labeled to prevent wild onion and there is no pre-emergent that will. Wild Onion can be dug out to remove the bulbs for best non chemical results. You are just limited on what you can spray in areas with desirable plants and must spot treat directly with non selective herbicides.

  • Asked by Danielle from Fremont Ca
    04/19/2021
    Q
Can Snapshot2.5 TG be used for English ivy? The ivy has been pulled out but want to apply a pre-emergent to prevent germination.
    A

Snapshot 2.5 TG Herbicide would not stop English Ivy from emerging. The best way to keep that species from coming back is with consistent efforts spot treating any new green plant tissue as soon as you see it emerging from the soil, and hand remove or rake out as much of the root system as you can. Pre emergents will not stop woody vine type plants from coming back.

  • Asked by Robert from Richmond, Va
    03/07/2022
    Q
If I apply Snapshot and then we have several moderate rainfalls within the next three days, is that sufficient or does the post-application watering have to be all at one time?
    A

Snapshot 2.5 TG is a pre-emergent herbicide that needs to be activated with about 0.5 inches of rainfall or irrigation. If you are expecting extremely heavy rains, then it would be best to delay your application so that your barrier is not disturbed. Snapshot should be activated within 3 days of application for best results.
