Snapshot 2.5 TG is applied at a rate of 2.3 to 4.6 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. Please see the product label for complete application instructions
Snapshot 2.5 TG - 50 lbs. does not list Nassella trichotoma as tolerant to an application. This does not appear to be something common to the US so the manufacturer does appear to have tested Snapshot around it.
You should not apply Snapshot 2.5 TG where you are going to put in new plants for at least one year, per the product label. You can apply around new transplants once the soil is settled by packing and irrigation or rainfall.
You need to keep Snapshot 2.5 TG out of the root zone of your vegetable plants. Best to keep at least 10-15 feet away.
Snapshot 2.5 TG may be applied following bulb emergence but should not be applied to bulbs while they are flowering per the manufacturer. Please refer to the product label for specific application instructions for this area.
As we do not offer Freehand on our site you would just need to refer to the product label for instructions on this product.
Yes, you can apply Snapshot 2.5 TG Herbicide over container-grown or field-grown Asian jasmine. Be sure that you water in the product as directed on the product label to release the active ingredient and carry it into the soil below the plants.
Snapshot 2.5 TG should not be applied to turf grasses. Snapshot 2.5 TG is meant to be used in landscape beds and around trees. We do carry pre-emergent herbicides such as Andersons 0.48 Barricade Herbicide that can be used on turf grasses like St. Augustine grass.
Snapshot 2.5 TG can be applied to damp ground from dew or a previous rain, but you would not want to apply when the ground is saturated or holding water. Snapshot does need to be activated by water within 3 days of application to be effective.
Snapshot 2.5 TG is not labeled to prevent wild onion and there is no pre-emergent that will. Wild Onion can be dug out to remove the bulbs for best non chemical results. You are just limited on what you can spray in areas with desirable plants and must spot treat directly with non selective herbicides.
Snapshot 2.5 TG Herbicide would not stop English Ivy from emerging. The best way to keep that species from coming back is with consistent efforts spot treating any new green plant tissue as soon as you see it emerging from the soil, and hand remove or rake out as much of the root system as you can. Pre emergents will not stop woody vine type plants from coming back.
Snapshot 2.5 TG is a pre-emergent herbicide that needs to be activated with about 0.5 inches of rainfall or irrigation. If you are expecting extremely heavy rains, then it would be best to delay your application so that your barrier is not disturbed. Snapshot should be activated within 3 days of application for best results.
Snapshot 2.5 TG should not be applied to lawns or athletic fields. It is for landscaped areas as directed prior to weed germination.
With Snapshot 2.5 TG being a pre-emergent that will prevent germination, you will want to wait atleast 4 to 6 months after the application of Snapshot 2.5 TG for planting any seeds, flowers, bushes, shrubs, etc.
I would recommend calling the Cooperative Extension in your area and speak to the master gardener to get the plant identified. I would definitely be happy to recommend something for you when you have the weed identified.
