Take care to ensure overspray doesn't drift onto any desired plants, as it is likely it will kill them. Any edibles that were sprayed with SpeedZone Southern Herbicide are not fit for consumption and should be discarded.
One option for great post-emergent control of broadleaf weeds like clover and oxalis in established turfgrass is Fertilome Weed Free Zone. Weed Free Zone is similar to Speedzone, and it is safe to use on St Augustine as long as you do not have Bitterblue or Floratam. For the new sod, we recommend that it is well established (usually after about 4 weeks or the second mowing, whichever is longer) before applying herbicides such as Speedzone or Weed Free Zone.
Another great option for a variety of weeds on warm-season turf is Blindside Herbicide.
Please take a few moments to read through the product label completely for full instructions and other precautions.

Tank mixing is not recommended unless your experience indicates that the tank mxture will not result in turf injury. When tank mixing certain herbicides with other selective herbicides, surfactants, etc, this can reduce the selectivity of the herbicide resulting in injurying or killing the grass. We recommend doing a small compatibility test in a glass jar to ensure the two herbicides mix properly and then do a small test application in the lawn to determine sensitivity. Do not broadcast over the lawn without doing a test application first.

Keep in mind, also, that pre-emergent herbicides will need to be watered in with rainfall or irrigation within the amount of time specified on the label, while a post-emergent like the SpeedZone Southern should have at least 24 hours without rainfall or irrigation for best results.
Please note that Speedzone Southern has been discontinued and replaced with Speedzone Southern Herbicide EW.
