I sprayed Bio Advanced Complete Insect Killer For Soil & Turf Concentrate on the dirt and root areas on my sweet corn, was this wrong?

Bayer Complete Insect Killer for Soil & Turf Concentrate is not labeled to be used on or around edible vegetation. Any edibles need to be discarded for 1 year if applied.
