Karen from New Orleans, Louisiana writes

Sprayed my yard and around peach tree with Talstar P Professional Insecticide

My peach tree is about 5 to 8 years old. I believe it has some moth in it. It produces the sweetest juseist peaches the last 2 years I had to toss most of them because the fruit has small holes and a jelly like ozzie leaking out of them. I sprayed 2 weeks ago when can I spray again. The peaches are on the tree now and I'm seeing the same things on them. If you have a different idea for me I would be happy to read it.

Answer:

Talstar P is not labeled to treat any edible vegetation, so it should NOT be sprayed on the fruit, the tree, the soil around the tree, or the root zone. The manufacturer does recommend that you discard any fruit from the tree for this growing season if the tree was sprayed with Talstar P.

We would recommend that you use Monterey Fruit Tree and Vegetable Systemic Soil Drench in the future because it is labeled for fruit trees. Please see the product label for additional information.
