Spurge overgrowth in St. Augustine grass...

Our lawn is being taken over by spurge. What can we use to kill it and yet allow my dogs to walk on it, they live inside, but ???

Answer:

Prodiamine 65 WDG (Generic Barricade) is only labeled to prevent spurge, it will not kill that which has already emerged. However, you can use Celsius WG Herbicide for existing spurge that has already emerged. Just keep your pets out of the area while applying & they may return once the product has dried. You will also want to consult with your extension for the appropriate time to apply a pre-emergent.
