Sumilarv 0.5G is a powerful tool for any mosquito control program. It targets mosquito species including anopheles quadrimaculatus, Aedes aegypti, culex pipiens, and others (see label for complete list).   With the active ingredient pyriproxyfen, it mimics a natural hormone in mosquitoes, disrupting their development in the pupal stage. With its lower dosage rate compared to other larvicides, Sumilarv 0.5G provides a more cost-effective and efficient form of mosquite larvae control, with less application required. The sand-like granules also allow for resistance against water flush and dilution in water holding sites.  Reccomended for use in mosquito breeding areas such as bird baths, rain barrels,septic tanks, gutters, flooded basements, tires, catch basins, abandoned swimming pools, and other water retention areas.
