We do not carry the Hum-AC 820 but do see on the manufacturers website that it has a different active ingredient than the Surf-Ac 820 Non-Ionic Surfactant so they are not the same. Hum appears to have Glycerol, alcohol ethoxylate, polyoxyethylenepolyoxypropylene monobutyl ether, Surf-Ac is just Alcohol ethoxylate, alkylphenol ethoxylate.
Surf-Ac 820 Non-Ionic Surfactant is an additive that can be used in-conjunction with herbicides to increase effectiveness by helping the product stick to the target pests. Surf-Ac alone will not kill any weeds.

Surf-Ac 820 Non-Ionic Surfactant will work great when combined with selective post-emergent herbicides such as 2, 4D products if used as directed.
The Surf-Ac 820 Non-Ionic Surfactant is NOT for aquatic use per its Product Label.
Surf-Ac 820 Non-Ionic Surfactant will not harm animals if used as directed. They should not present and the surfaces should be dry completely prior to their return to the treated areas. It is not labeled as an insecticide that will eradicate bedbugs. Bedbugs are found indoors and this surfactant should be applied to exterior areas only. Surf-Ac 820 Non-Ionic Surfactant is a product which helps to provide a more wet surface to the plant and covers more of the surface, and can be added to pesticide applications to improve performance of their product's active ingredient. If used alone, an application should not cause damage to your plants, unless it was applied in extreme heat conditions.
Per the product label for Surf-Ac 820 Non-Ionic Surfactant when used with insecticides you would use 1-2 pints (16-32 oz) per 100 gallons, this breaks down to approx 0.16-0.32 fl oz per gallon of water.
Bifen IT does not require the use of a surfactant unless you are treating for eriophyid mites or spider mites per the product label. Adding one for other insects would only increase the residual for a few days on outside surfaces.
