    What is the best mixing ratio of Surge Broadleaf Herbicide for Turf to water?
    A
    The mixing ratio all depends depends on what you are treating for and what type of turf you are applying too. For example, when applying to Kentucky Bluegrass, you would mix 1.5 Fl oz Surge Broadleaf Herbicide for Turf into one gallon of water to cover 1000 sq. feet.

    You can mow your grass 2 days before applying Surge Broadleaf Herbicide for Turf and at least 3-4 days after application.

    How soon after applying Surge Broadleaf Herbicide can a dog go on the lawn?
    A
    Keep pets out of the area during treatment and until the product has had time to completely dry(1-2 hours) and absorb into the plant. Once dry the pet can resume normal activity in the treated areas. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    What is the shelf life of Surge Broadleaf Herbicide?
    A
    Most manufacturers give a shelf life of at least 5 years, but products can last longer if you keep the lid on, keep the product out of direct sunlight, and shake up the container every few months to prevent the active ingredient from settling to the bottom and getting clumpy and dried out.

    Does Surge Broadleaf Herbicide for Turf need to be watered in?
    A

    Surge is a post emergent herbicide that does not need to be watered in.  If possible, do not water or irrigate the treated area for 6-24 hours after application.  Also apply when rain is not expected within 6 hours.

    Is it dangerous to eat herbs and vegetables near where Surge was sprayed (not directly applied)?
    A
    As long as the product did not get on the edibles or into the dripline/root system of the edible plants then no harm should come from eating ones near a treated area. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    When, and how to mix Surge to kill weeds in Bermuda grass in Memphis, TN. What else can be mixed with it for other problems like violets?

    The mixing ratio of Surge Broadleaf Herbicide in Bermudagrass is 1.0-1.2 fl. oz. per gallon of water. This product is also labeled for wild violet. Please refer to the product label for complete usage instructions.

    Surge may cause a slight discoloration to trees. Please be sure to make your application according to the product label and we would recommend application be placed carefully around trees.

    What is the best herbicide for crabgrass?
    I had my yard planted about 2 months ago here in Minneapolis and I have a terrible crabgrass problem. I just ordered Surge, but am being told by someone that it won't work on the crabgrass. Thank you

    Per the product label for Surge it is not labeled to control crabgrass.  Our most popular crabgrass product is Drive XLR8. Drive XLR8 Herbicide is the latest technology in providing unsurpassed post-emergent crabgrass control. Drive XLR8 is a post emergent selective herbicide that is labeled for crabgrass as well many other troublesome weeds.     How soon should I wait to reseed fescue after Surge Broadleaf Herbicide is applied?
    My lawn guy applied surge 2 weeks ago. He said I could reseed now. Is he correct?

    How long should I wait to have kids playing on the lawn after spraying with Surge?

    Once Surge Broadleaf Herbicide for Turf is applied, it is recommended that you wait until the product has dried completely to let children and/or pets back into the area.

    How much effect will dew have on Surge if it is before the 6 hr rain-safe point?
    I applied the product in the early evening and then the grass began getting dew on it about 3 hours later.
    A

    It is best to apply Surge Broadleaf Herbicide for Turf when the weeds are no too wet from any rain or dew so that the product can be applied to the leaves and not drip off easily from being wet already.  You should apply when rain is not expected within 24 hours after application as well.

    Can Surge be mixed with MSMA Target 6 Plus?

    Yes, Surge Broadleaf Herbicide can be mixed with other herbicides, such as MSMA Target 6 Plus. We would recommend mixing a small amount together to ensure that there is no clumping. The label for Surge does state that you will need to pre-mix the product with water before adding any other herbicides.
