  • Asked by Joia from Maineville, Ohio

    Q
    Flowers, other plants, and foliage
Will Suspend Polyzone harm the foliage and other plants and flowers around my house? As I spray around my windows areas where utilities and things come in, if this gets on the plants or flowers (Cosmos, Moon flowers, Pasque flowers, Hydrangea, etc) will it harm them?
    A
Suspend Polyzone is only labeled to be used around the perimeter of your home depending on the type of pest your are treating for.  If you are looking for something that is specifically labeled to be used on turf, ornamentals, etc., we would recommend using a general insecticide like Bifen IT. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

  • Asked by Donna from Hahnville, La
    10/04/2014
    Q
Is Suspend Polyzone safe on exterior vinyl siding? What if it gets on the windows?
My problem is mud divers and spiders on the siding up high.
    A
The Suspend Polyzone should have no affect on siding on a home or any other type of material the home may be made out of. The Suspend Polyzone will dry clear so there should be no staining or discoloring of any sort, and any that gets on the window will either dry clear, or may leave a slight streak on the window much like when spraying with windex and it dries before you can get it wiped all the way across.

  • Asked by Marla from Longview Texas

    Q
We are replacing our current pest control company,
I currently have service with Terminix and pay almost $400 per year. I would like to do my own pest control. My service with termini is labeled "exterior general pest control". Can you help me know what I should use?
    A
For general pest control, we would recommend a product called Suspend Polyzone. It is a very good general insecticide that will last for up to 90 days outdoors. It features a proprietary polymer layer that protects the active ingredient from weather, irrigation and mechanical abrasion. You will use 0.25 to 0.75 fl. oz. per gallon of water. This can be used around the perimeter of the home outdoors. It can also be used indoors as a crack and crevice treatment.

    Suspend Polyzone vs. Temprid SC?
Which product, Suspend Polyzone vs. Temprid SC Insecticide is better for control of Asian beetles and boxelder bugs?
    A
Suspend Polyzone will give you a longer lasting residual. They are both great products, but the molecular design of the capsule that protects the active ingredient last longer and stays on top of the surface better.

  • Asked by Gene from Chandler Az
    02/18/2015
    Q
What is the difference between Demand CS and Suspend Polyzone (besides the active ingredient)?
Which will be more effective at scorpion control? Which will last longer outside in the Arizona heat? Been usin Demand CS for several years successfully, but wonder if Suspend Polyzone might work better and have a longer residual.
    A

The biggest difference between Demand CS and Suspend Polyzone is the residual they have outdoors. Suspend Polyzone was designed with special time release polymer coating to hold up in heat, cold, and irrigation for up to 90 days. Demand CS will last approx 30 days.

The treatment for Scorpions using either product is the same:

Treat areas where scorpions may hide. Treat known or suspected harborages on and around exterior walls. Apply spot treatments into cracks, crevices, weep holes or other access points into hollow block walls or masonry veneer. Spray around and beneath stones and along rocky areas. Scorpions will often harbor beneath the bark on trees, so inspect these areas and treat as required. When possible, remove piles of debris and building materials near the exterior wall that can harbor the pests. Apply a perimeter treatment to the exterior walls spraying 2-3ft up the foundation and 2-3ft out on the adjacent soil. You may treat around piles of firewood, but do not treat firewood with this product.

    Q
I want to put barrier around my home for spiders, ants and giant flying cockroaches.
    What is best spray solution?
    A
We would recommend using Suspend Polyzone. It is a very good general insecticide that can be broadcast across your lawn and sprayed indoors. Suspend Polyzone features a proprietary polymer layer that protects the active ingredient from weather, irrigation and mechanical abrasion. This controlled release formulation, which resists erosion, ensures your treatment will continue to control targeted pests for up to 90 days outdoors. This does need to be applied with a pump sprayer. Indoors, you will spray around the baseboards and cracks and crevices. Outdoors, you will spray around the perimeter of your home, in the lawn, etc. Make sure you spray the product in areas where the spiders are so that they can come in contact with it.

    Q
What is the best product for outdoor use that will kill stink bugs and lady bugs?
I am looking for an insecticide that has a long residual, low odor, that won't stain and also safe for pets. I would like to apply the insecticide with my powered back pack blower/sprayer.
    A
We would recommend using Temprid SC. It is labeled for lady bugs and stink bugs. This can be used indoors and outdoors. Outdoors, be sure to spray the areas around doors, windows, and other entrance points for the pests. This can also be used indoors around the baseboards and cracks and crevices. This can be sprayed about every 30 days outdoors and 90 days indoors.

  • Asked by Diane from Cave Creek, Az

    Q
Will Suspend Polyzone harm the wild lizards outside my home?
    A
As long as Suspend Polyzone is not sprayed directly on the lizards the product should not cause them harm. You will see a reduction of the lizards however because by spraying Suspend Polyzone you will be eliminating their food source near your home and they will naturally go in search of better hunting grounds.

    Q
I'm looking for a perimeter spray that will last 90 days or longer so I only have to apply a perimeter spray once or twice a season.
I'm in Wisconsin. I'm looking for a perimeter spray that will last 90 days or longer so I only have to apply a perimeter spray once or twice a season. Can you give me some options? Thank You. I have Talstar Pro that I bought last year, but I don't think it is long acting.
    A

Suspend Polyzone will last for 90 days outdoors as well as 90 days to indoor cracks and crevices. Please refer to the product label for a complete list of targeted insects. Termidor SC can also be applied up against the structure (1ft up and 1 ft out) for a twice a year barrier up against the foundation. Do not mix the two products together. Termidor SC is NOT labeled for indoor applications or other areas on the exterior of the property.

  • Asked by Jamie from Neenah, Wi
    05/07/2015
    Q
Is Suspend Polyzone safe to use around landscape plants?
This was suggested as a perimeter treatment around out home. We have non-food landscape plants around our house and will likely have some contact with the product. Will this harm landscape plantings?
    A
Suspend Polyzone is safe to use on ornamental plants and is labeled for use for many pests commonly found on ornamentals. We would not recommend spraying flowering plants or in areas where bees or similar pollinators are present so as not to harm these beneficial insects.
