When should I treat the exterior of my home for cluster flies and lady bugs with Suspend SC?
    is suspend sc sufficiant
    A
You want to start using Suspend SC to treat for Lady bugs starting in September-November. If you are farther north you want to start in September, because it cools off more quickly. You can apply this product at first sight of cluster flies.

    Q
Is it okay to spray Suspend SC during a rainy week?
I have my Suspend SC and would like to spray but it will be raining all week. Is it ok to spray while it is raining? Do I have to wait until it is dry to apply?
    A
Suspend SC needs to be applied when it is dry condition and will be dry for at least 6 hours after you spray. Typically after 6 hours of dry time the product will be considered "rain fast". With heavy rain conditions you may have to reapply as early as 21 days after initial spray rather than the normal 30 to 60 you can sometimes get with this product.

  • Asked by Xian from Lehigh Acres Fl

    Q
Does Suspend SC work on roaches, and how many ounces per gallon?
How fast does Suspend SC kill roaches, how long will it last if I spray?
    A

Suspend SC is labeled for roaches, and should do a great job helping you eliminate the infestation. We recommend that in addition to a concentrated liquid insecticide like Suspend SC you also use a high quality roach bait gel such as Invict Roach Bait Gel to help get the roaches that hide in places where you cannot spray (cabinets, counter tops, drawers) as well as an insect growth regulator such as Gentrol Point Source to help stop the breeding cycle of the roaches. You can purchase both of these products together in our Roach Control Kit #1.

The Suspend is a residual which means it will not be a contact kill for the roaches. It could kill a roach within a few hours or within a day depending on how healthy the roach is, and how long it spent on a surface that was treated with Suspend. The spray will typically last indoors 90 days and outdoors 30 days, but for an active infestation you would want to retreat every 30 days indoors until the colony is eliminated.

    Q
Does the Suspend SC work for bed bugs and how good it is?
    A
Suspend SC does treat bed bugs. Now, however, research shows that some strains of bed bugs are resisitant to it. We recommend using Temprid SC, because it will treat pyrethroid resistantbed bugs and using double killing power of two different active ingredients. Temprid SC also has a very broad application label.

    Q
What are the pros and cons of Suspend SC or Permethrin for cluster flies. Do you prefer one over the other?
    A
Either active ingredient is going to give you comparable results.  Big difference is that Suspend SC is odorless whereas Permethrin does have a mild petroleum odor to it.  We recommend that you read our article How to Get rid of Cluster flies. This article will explain how to stop them from coming in and what to do if the cluster flies have already gained entry

    Q
Will Suspend SC harm farm fowl
I have 18 rosters right now will it harm them if they eat bugs that have come in contact with Suspend SC.
    A
Suspend SC is only designed to kill small insects. The roosters would need to ingest quite a few of the treated insects to have an effect on them.  Just make sure they are out of the area being treated until the area dries

    Q
What to use where you have wood floors and want to make sure you get no bugs?
I have just put wood floors thoughout the house. I have purchased Suspend to spray in the house, but I am afraid to spray and stain the floors what product would you suggest I use to keep out bugs
    A
Suspend should be safe to spray any place where it is safe to spray water since it is a water based insecticide. We still recommend that you spray a small inconspicuous area to test for staining.  We would also like you to note that Suspend is only labeled to be used in cracks and crevices and should not be used as a broadcast spray over hardwood floors. We also recommend spraying Suspend around the outside perimeter 2-3 feet up and out.

    Q
Is Suspend SC the best spray for killing roaches outdoors with pets? Also to kill ants indoors and outdoors.
    A

Suspend SC would be a great choice as an exterior spray for roaches and ants but should not be the sole product for treatment. We recommend mixing an IGR with Suspend SC and also baiting for roaches and ants. Please click the links below for product recommendations.

  • Asked by Lilly from Phila, Pa
    08/31/2013
    Q
Can I mix suspend sc and tempo sc to kill bed bugs?
    A
Since both products contain synthetic pyrethroids there is no valid reason to mix Suspend SC and Tempo together, it would not make either product work better or produce better results, though it could make treated areas repellent to insects lessening the effectiveness of the treatment. Instead you may want to choose a product that has dual active ingredients such as Transport or Temprid. This will help avoid any type of resistance issue since both of the products contain two active ingredients from different classes of insecticides.

  • Asked by Q. from Chicago, Il
    09/02/2013
    Q
I purchased Suspend SC for both bed bug & roach control. Will this work for both?
    A

Suspend SC used to be the go to product for bed bug control. However, there have been signs that some strains of bed bugs have become resistant to it since it has been used so much.  Still, bed bug control has much better success if you use a variety of products. Our bed bug kits have many products that are considered the top bed bug control products. Our kits also come with full instructions.  They have a very high success rate with our customers and your best chance of eliminating a bed bug infestation. We would suggest adding an IGR (insect growth regulator) called Gentrol to halt the reproductive cycle of the bedbugs and roaches. Also, apply a roach bait in areas where you have not sprayed. Please click on the links below for additional treatment information for both insects.
