I see a very opposite reaction on the same property . Some rats are refusing to eat this bait and others like it enough to eat enough for it to work. I have used 4 different baits in the past 4 months to get the same reaction . I believe rats are as smart as us and i hate killing them but its either my birds get sick or numbers are controlled. Its tough to find a bait that will attract all rats though. Some are geniuses and know better than to eat the poison. I remove all the birds food at night and it helps a lot, but still the ones hanging on are doing considerable damage to wood structures. My exterminator was never able to do what ive done though in a short time which is have enough luck that i see results. he caused the out of control situation.
Doesn't hold up to heat

The Talon Weatherblok XT melts in Arizona heat. Does not hold up as good as Fastrac Blox or Contrac Blox. Using the exact same stations and locations as the other bait, the Talon blox starts melting above 100 degrees where the Fastrac and Contrac held up. Also doesn't seem any more or less palatable to the critters than the others. Wont buy this again.
Rat infestation fix

This product worked beyond my expectations. There was a rat infestation under a storage shed next door to my house. Every evening there’d be so many rats running around on the fences and in the trees that you couldn’t count. I was using a different product with some success but when I switched to Talon the rats started dropping like flies. This product works great. It’s terminated over 35 rats the past few weeks and those are the ones I’ve found. There’s no telling how many that left the property to eventually die. Now on the fence line I haven’t seen a rat in about 5 days. I’ll keep the bait out because these rats cause a lot of damage.
