I asked in 2010 how to rid bonsai pots of tiny black ants. I bought the TalstarP as recommended and applied it thoroughly. It slowed them down for a while but did not get rid of the ants. I have repeated until I used it up, but they continue to thrive. I am pretty sure watering the plants every day does not help the poison, but not watering bonsai is NOT an option. There are now other ants, perhaps Argentine, in the pots as well. I use Cyper WP in desperation, but it does not last, either. Can you offer any other advice?
We would recommend using the Complete Ant Kit. It comes with a sugar bait and protein bait. This will take care of both of the food sources of the ants. They will take the bait back to the colony.
