    Q
What is the best product for outside ant mounds in pavement and landscape?
Looks like many different types of ants, no problem indoors but have taken over front and backyards! Would prefer something simple to use without having to mix up huge quantities (already doing this for roach control)
    A
To treat the entire lawn we recommend using Talstar Xtra. Each bag of Talstar Xtra Granules will cover 5,000 to 10,000 square feet. Depending on the pest you are treating, you would use 2.3 - 4.6 lbs per 1000 square feet for most insects (50 to 100lbs are required per acre).

    Q
Can Talstar XTRA Granules control Chinch Bugs in a St. Augustine lawn?
    A

Talstar XTRA Granules is labeled for Chinch Bugs. For control of Chinch Bugs, it is recommended to use 2.3 to 4.6 Lbs/1000 sq ft (100-200 lbs per acre). Irrigate with up to 0.25 inches of water immediately after application to activate (release from the granule) the insecticide. Chinch bugs can be one of the most difficult pests to control in grasses and the higher applications rates may be required to control populations that contain both nymphs and adults during the summer.

    Q
Could I use Talstar XTRA Granular Insecticide for chinch bugs, fleas, and fire ants and around my numerous fruit trees?
    A

Talstar XTRA is the best option for your target pests, however this has to stay away from edibles. You would only apply Talstar Xtra outside the dripline/root of the trees. If you need something closer to the tree then the next best option is Essentria All Purpose Insecticide Concentrate.
