This application was easy to put down on the lawn and seemed to work really well. I have had ant issues for years and nothing and I mean nothing has kept them at bay. My dogs are happy they can lay in the grass without getting bit by these ants. As for the mole issue I have had, I think they might have gone to my neighbors house to eat ;) I haven't seen any crickets or grubs.. Fingers crossed. I may be a forever customer!!

3 weeks after applying I am still seeing a good amount of ants .

First year for using the product. Been fertilizing the lawn the last three years and seeing results. This spring, found an areas in the lawn with ant mounds. This might explain finding ants in the house, but I want them gone. Researched what was best to use, and Talstar XTRA was highly rated. Applied Talstar with broadcast spreader, watered it in, and a week later noticed the mounds were disappearing. Still too soon to give Talstar a thumbs up, but time will tell

I have noticed a significant reduction in bugs with a broad spread of this stuff. I plan on using it regularly now.

Heard from a pro that this stuff works great, haven't seen any fire ants as of yet.

This is a great product for insect control. It is granular and in very fine particles so is dispensed from spreader evenly and no clumps in the bag. Do My Own has a great price on it and it arrived ahead of the schedule I needed it for and the shipping was free.

Understood this killed sod webworms, bought based on DMO's SME recommendation for those specific bugs, as well as what was supposed to be a longer lasting residual. Put out a week ago, and zero change in moth and other bug population, even had a couple of new ant beds show up. Used at the suggested "high" rate also. Applied exactly as directions indicated. The only reason I rated a 2 star vs 1 star is that the grandules are fairly large and spread easily and in a uniform pattern. Not that it matters given the results, but that's why. So, I guess I will have to go back to spraying, doesn't last long but at least it kills off the bugs for a week or so before they return.

We apologize you did not achieve the intended results. Talstar Xtra does not prevent any new ants from moving into the area but as long as they contact the treated area they will die. Some insects may require repeat treatments as well. We would welcome the opportunity to troubleshoot the application to help get you the results you need. I have bin battling with ground bugs for two years and decided to deal with the problem my self. My landscape people just gave me excuses. This product did the job. after spending so much money on the lawn. I learned a lesion , I can do better the the landscapers. Thank You for the FREE shipping

I much prefer the Telstar PL. For me the extra just doesn't seem to work as well.

We had ticks everywhere, and any stroll through the yard left you checking all your cracks and crevices. Since initial treatment 2-3 weeks ago, we have not seen a tick one on us or the kids. The best part is we finally got our yard in the country back. Love the product.

I have always had success with products from 'Do My Own' pest control. I had a lot of new ant hills building in my yard and my garden. At one point they were running up my leg :0 I think the product is working as expected. I did see some new hills and contacted the site and here is the response: The Talstar XTRA does have a 4 month residual after the product is put down. However, it is important that you keep in mind that every ant that is present, or still in the colony underground to present itself to the bait by contact in order for the product to be effective and maintain control.

I cannot say with certainty that this product works. I still have a lot of ants, no discernible decrease in the any population.

We apologize results were not as expected. Talstar Xtra does work to kill those ants that contact a treated area but does not prevent any new ants from moving in and does take time for them to die after contacting the product, a few hours up to 24 or more. living in the south there are tons of fire ants. this product keeps down the ant activity and is fast acting. directions are easy to understand. our product was shipped pronto so no long wait time .

When used as directed, you will not have any more problems with fire ants! Put the product down in the evening, and next day…no more ants!
