Unfortunately, Tempo SC Ultra is not labeled to treat for emerald ash borer beetles. We would recommend a systemic product like Annual Tree & Shrub Insect Control Concentrate. According to the product label, this product quickly dissolves in water allowing the insecticide to move through the soil into the root zone. Once in the roots, the insecticide moves up through the tree providing year-long insect control. This product will also provide control to new growth. Drench applications to individual trees will control emerald ash borers. For foliar applications mix 1.5 tsp of this product per 1 gallon of water.
Tempo SC Ultra is not specifically labeled for evergreen ash borers, and when applied could only be used as a foliar spray. This product is not meant to be used as a systemic treatment for borers. Instead, Dominion 2L is a great product used to treat ash borers and other boring beetles in trees. The active ingredient is Imidacloprid which is one of the highly recommended ingredients to use when treating this type of pest. Please be sure to review the product label for more information and complete application instructions.
Tempo SC Ultra can be used on any ornamental tree following product label instructions, just nothing edible. We do recommend avoiding the blooms to prevent harm to pollinators.
Tempo SC Ultra can be sprayed on ornamental plants and trees but not anything edible. We recommend avoiding spraying any blooms/flowers to limit contact with pollinators.
