An indoor application of Tempo SC Ultra is completely safe to the touch and any other aspect once dry. The residual time indoors is typically 3-6 months on any surface its applied to and can be removed by either shampooing carpet if need be or washing down with a scrubber and water and soap.
Tempo SC is safe to use indoors when applied as a crack and crevice treatment according to the instructions on the product label. This is a residual insecticide that should not be applied to personal items like bedding or resting areas of furniture. If you think clothing or bedding may be contaminated, then you would want to wash these items before use. It is fine for people and pets to re-enter the treatment area after the application is dry.
Tempo SC Ultra will work on the carpenter ants that come in contact with the treated areas, it usually works within 24-48 hours.
Tempo SC Ultra and Demand CS contain different active ingredients, but both are classified as a synthetic pyrethroid, so they really are very similar in the way that they work and the pests that they will control. One is not necessarily better or stronger than the other.
Tempo SC Ultra is labeled for Beetles but not specifically for Asian beetles. We recommend using Onslaught Fastcap or Bifen IT to kill Asian Beetles, using either product at a mixing rate of 1 oz per gallon of water.

Tempo SC Ultra should NOT be applied to the lemon tree or any other edible vegetation. If the tree has been sprayed, you will want to discard any fruit. Tempo SC Ultra is labeled for boxelder bugs and gives specific instructions for treating them. Apply directly to boxelder bugs that have congregated around doors and windows and similar areas where they may enter structures. Apply perimeter treatment as described above. For best results, treat infested trees early in the season.
The treatment should begin before temperatures drop and pests start searching for places to harbor for the winter. Once the bugs have moved into your attic to overwinter you will have limited results with sprays as they will hide in cracks and crevices there and getting to all of these is rare. Your first treatment should be in August, before the weather begins to cool, and continue through November or until the first frost of the Fall. The best treatment for overwintering pests is preventative treatment.
Tempo SC Ultra is not a true "repellent," so it will not keep insects such as ticks away. The only way to do this would be to seal up all cracks and crevices that allow them access inside. Tempo can be used as a barrier spray to help kill ticks that come into contact with treated surfaces. Yes, Tempo SC Ultra can be used as a mound drench for fire ants. It will eliminate the colony and any ant that comes into contact with where you sprayed or poured the product. If you have a severe infestation of fire ants, however, we suggest that you use a product that targets this pest more specifically, such as Extinguish Plus Fire Ant Bait. Tempo SC Ultra should not pose any staining to the vinyl siding. If mixed and applied correctly there should not be an issue using it for stinkbug control. We recommend testing a small, inconspicuous area first to be sure.
