    Will Tempo SC Ultra hurt my cat when she grooms herself?
    Our exterminator sprayed inside the house along the baseboards and windowsills. When my cat is in the window or laying alongside the baseboard will she pick up the residual poison and ingest that when she licks her fur to groom? I'm regretting letting him talk me into spraying inside. He told me it was very safe around pets but then he didn't tell us to stay out of the room while he was spraying. How do I clean it off where he sprayed and get rid of it if I decide it's too risky?

    Tempo SC Ultra  is safe around pets. Yes, the pet should not re enter the room until the treated area has dried. If you decide you want to clean the treated area, you want to use hot water and soap to remove the chemical.

    Tempo SC is not labeled for fruit trees. Please find our products that are safe for fruit trees. You may want to use something like Bonide fruit tree spray that is labeled specifically for fruit trees.

    Is Tempo SC Safe to use on firewood to be burned indoors fireplace
    I have a stacked firewood to be used for burning in our fireplace inside our living room. I'd like to spray this firewood to keep the wasps, hornets and bees out of it, but will it be safe to then burn it in our house this winter? Please advise. Thanks!

    We would not recommend using Tempo SC on firewood. We recommend only using a product that is labeled for that. Please contact your Local Cooperative Extension Office to advice on what would be safe to use.

    How do I know if I put enough Tempo SC in my yard to get rid of Mosquitoes?

    If you used the Tempo SC at the rate of 8ml per gallon of water and treated the harborage areas until wet, but not dripping then you have applied it for sufficient coverage. Make sure when treating for mosquitoes you are spraying in the foliage of neighboring trees, bushes and ornamentals as well as moist areas of your lawn where they will tend to lay their eggs. Tempo is a residual product and will last at least 30 days outdoors so only spray in monthly intervals. It can take several weeks for you to see a noticeable drop in the population so make sure you give the product plenty of time to work and bring the activity down to a tolerable level.     How long does Tempo take to work?

    You didn't specify what insect you are using the Tempo to treat for, so we cannot give you an exact answer. The time it takes to eliminate an insect is determined by multiple factors: how long did the insect stay on a surface that is treated with Tempo? How healthy is the insect? How large is the colony? All of these play a factor in how long it will take for you to see a drop in the population of insects in your yard and around your home. It can take weeks and even up to months to eradicate the entire colony depending on the insect. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Will Tempo SC Ultra kill squash bugs on Pumpkin plants?
    I have the dreaded squash bug and need a somthing that will knock them out and not harm my plants. It would be great if it would knock out cucumber beetles too!

    Tempo is not labeled for that use. We have many products that can be used in/on pumpkin and squash plants. For example, Bayer Advanced Fruit, Citrus, veggie Concentrate is labeled to treat cucumber beetles, but not squash bug. We recommend contacting your local Master Gardener at Your local Cooperative Extension Office for advice on which products are working to treat squash bug in your area.

    To treat bees around your pool, you want to use a product like Tempo SC Ultra. Tempo SC Ultra will leave a non staining residual in areas treated around your pool. Please keep on mind that this product will kill the bees when they come in contact with the treated areas, but will not stop them from entering. Bees/wasp are attracting to water, because they are looking for water.

    Tempo is not labeled for application to bearing plants. We recommend Malathion 57% for raspberry and blackberry plants. Malathion is very versatile and can be used on many different edible vegetation plants.

    Tempo SC Ultra can not be used on any type of edible vegetation so this product would not work for your needs. You could use something like Thuricide or Fertilome Triple Action Plus depending on what insects you are trying to treat for. Both of those products are specifically designed to kill insects on edible crops without causing any harm to the food it is sprayed on. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Will it Tempo SC Ultra kill ants?

    Yes, Tempo SC Ultra will treat for ants. However, Tempo SC Ultra will only kill the ants that come in contact with the treated area. You want to use something that the foraging ants will pick up and carry back to the colony like Bait. We have put together the Complete Ant kit that attracts both sweet and protein feeding ants.

    I sprayed tempo on my tomato plants and now find out that you are not supposed to use on vegetables.
    Will the plants ever be safe or will they have to be thrown away?
