The Tempo Ultra WP does come with a scoop spoon provided inside the container.
Tempo Ultra WP should be applied when rain is not expected within 24 hours of application.
Because Tempo Ultra WP is a wettable powder, you may notice a slight white residue left behind after it dries, especially on darker surfaces. If this is a concern, you may want to consider using Tempo SC Ultra instead, which is a liquid concentrate which forms a clear solution and will not leave a residue.
Tempo Ultra WP is labeled for roaches and should do a great job towards helping you eliminate a roach infestation. It is strongly recommended that you also use an insect growth regulator (IGR) and a roach bait as part of a roach treatment program. Please see our Roach Control Guide for more information.
Tempo Ultra WP can be used to treat fire ant mounds. Per the product label, you will use 4 scoops per gallon of water. Thoroughly drench or inject the entire mound. When using injection treatment, you must treat to the bottom of the mound. Apply dilution or foam using a downward and upward motion of the injector tool. For complete distribution, inject in several points throughout the mound. Treat new mounds as they appear.
Tempo Ultra WP could be used around the home for scorpions and will do a good job killing them. Be aware it is not a repellent so will not keep insects from getting in, but instead will provide a long residual to continue to kill those insects that contact a treated area. The only way to keep insects out for sure is to seal up all cracks and crevices that allow them access inside. Cyper WP is also still available just in the packet form of Cyper WSP.
The scoops in the jar of Tempo Ultra WP measures 5 grams. You can use 10 to 20 g (2 to 4 scoops) per gallon of water per 1,000 square feet. A 420 gram jar of Tempo Ultra WP will make 21 to 42 gallons of solution. Please read the product label for complete application instructions.
No, Tempo Ultra WP is not labeled to be used in greenhouses or nurseries. We would need to know what type of plants are being grown in the greenhouse. Tropical, ornamentals, vegetables, etc require different product recommendations. Please contact one of our representatives at 1-866-581-7378 Mon-Fri 9am-5pm EST.
Yes, Tempo Ultra WP will kill any wasps that come into contact with a treated area. Please take a look at our Wasp Control Guide for more information on treating and preventing this pest.
Tempo Ultra WP is not labeled for rodent mites. The easiest method to control rodent mites that have entered your home is to physically remove them with a vacuum cleaner or wipe them up with a moist cloth. Mites are not automatically killed by a vacuum cleaner so freeze the bag to prevent the mites from crawling back out.
Locating the source and eliminating the hosts and nests is important to prevent further problems with these mites. Nests are usually located in attics, basements, or inside walls. If necessary, trap them with kill traps or glue boards. Spray the dead rat and its nest with a disinfectant.
Removing the mite source (dead mice, rats, and abandoned nests) is very important. Unless you remove their source, rat mites will continue to seek human host infesting your house.
While we cannot comment on the treatment performed by a pest control operator, Tempo Ultra WP will work for stinkbugs. Stinkbugs are not listed on the product label of most insecticides yet because they have only started becoming a problem for homeowners and property owners in recent years. Be sure to spray eaves, soffits, window frames, door frames, areas where cables, pipes or wires enter into the structure and any other crack, crevice or gap where insects can harbor. We also recommend starting applications in early August to prevent having the stink bugs move in with you and sealing up as many cracks, crevices and gaps as possible.
Tempo Ultra WP is labeled for deer ticks and should do a great job eliminating this pest for you. You can find the directions for treating your yard for fleas on the product label.
Termiticide applications are very different from general surface pest applications, so you could not mix Tempo Ultra WP with a termiticide and expect for it to work for both needs. We have a General Pest Treatment Guide here that outlines how to do this treatment. For termites, please see our Termite Prevention Guide.
Tempo SC Ultra is a concentrated water based liquid insecticide that will need to be mixed with water. Tempo Ultra WP is a wettable powder that is also mixed with water. Both products contain the same active ingredient and will provide similar results. Tempo Ultra WP will do a better job on porous surfaces as it will stay on the surface and be more available to insects. Tempo SC Ultra, on the other hand, will dry clear and will not leave behind the powdery residue that Tempo Ultra WP can.
Yes, you can use Tempo Ultra WP as a crack and crevice treatment indoors and as a perimeter spray outdoors for larder beetles and for exterior spraying to prevent the overwintering pests. You may need to continue to look for ways to exclude the cluster flies and lady beetles from entering the structure by sealing up entrance points around windows, doors, and utilities. We have some great exclusion products here. You can also use an insecticide dust for extra prevention in wall voids and other cracks and crevices, such as CimeXa Insecticide Dust. If you are out of the cottage for long periods of time, then you may want to use Fly Light Traps to help catch insects that make their way indoors.
Unfortunantly, we are not currently set up to ship to Canada. Our apologies for any inconveniences this may cause.
