    Q
Can Tempo Ultra WP be used for bed bugs or what is the best product to use for an active infestation?
    A

Tempo Ultra WP is labeled for bed bugs however would not be the best option for eliminating an active bed bug infestation.

Bed bugs require a combination of products to treat all the tiny cracks and crevices and hiding areas where bed bugs are. There is not one product alone that will eliminate active bed bugs. Repeat applications are required every 7-10 days until you have gone 30 days without seeing any signs of bed bugs or without any bites.

Our Bed Bug Kits are the best route for a complete treatment program that contain the best products to treat the required areas. Which Kit you chose will depend on how many total bedrooms are in the home, not just the number rooms where bed bugs have been found. You will need to treat all bedrooms as bed bugs will transfer or migrate from room to room.

Please view our Bed Bug Treatment Guide for information on how to Inspect, Treat and Prevent Bed Bugs and then our Bed Bug Kits for options depending on the number of bedrooms.

    Q
Why is Tempo Ultra WP not for sale in SC?
In the description, why does it say Not for sale: SC, NY... is this product not allowed in these states. What is the reason?
    A

Tempo Ultra WP is not registered by the manufacturer for sale to specific states, and other states have restrictions on what they allow homeowners to get their hands on, such as NY and CT: these states prefer that only licensed trained professionals handle the products.

    Q
Will Tempo Ultra WP be effective on larder beetes?
12 years ago we rebuilt our summer cottage and had our first major infestation of Cluster Flies and Fall Lady Bugs. We have had an exterminator each year but still have them- or their bodies each spring. During the past 3 years the bodies seem to have invited an infestation of Larder Beetles. Professional services aren't working. What can you recommend?
    A

Yes, you can use Tempo Ultra WP as a crack and crevice treatment indoors and as a perimeter spray outdoors for larder beetles and for exterior spraying to prevent the overwintering pests. You may need to continue to look for ways to exclude the cluster flies and lady beetles from entering the structure by sealing up entrance points around windows, doors, and utilities. We have some great exclusion products here. You can also use an insecticide dust for extra prevention in wall voids and other cracks and crevices, such as CimeXa Insecticide Dust. If you are out of the cottage for long periods of time, then you may want to use Fly Light Traps to help catch insects that make their way indoors.

    Q
Can you tell me the difference between Tempo WP and Tempo SC Ultra?
    A

Tempo SC Ultra is a  concentrated water based liquid insecticide that will need to be mixed with water. Tempo Ultra WP is a wettable powder that is also mixed with water. Both products contain the same active ingredient and will provide similar results. Tempo Ultra WP will do a better job on porous surfaces as it will stay on the surface and be more available to insects. Tempo SC Ultra, on the other hand, will dry clear and will not leave behind the powdery residue that Tempo Ultra WP can.

    Q
Can I apply a termiticide with Tempo Ultra WP along with treating the base of the home?
    Does that add extra protection?
    A

Termiticide applications are very different from general surface pest applications, so you could not mix Tempo Ultra WP with a termiticide and expect for it to work for both needs. We have a General Pest Treatment Guide here that outlines how to do this treatment. For termites, please see our Termite Prevention Guide.
