  • Asked by Maribel from Atlanta, Ga
    07/06/2014
    Q
    Non repellent
Is the spray a non repellent insecticide? Can it be used for bed bug prevention? Thank you.
    A
Temprid will kill bed bugs that are resistant against pyrethroid insecticides. Lasting up to 6 months, Temprid has a residual that will protect against bed bugs reappearing.
Spray bugs and eggs directly whenever possible. This product kills bed bug eggs that are directly treated, and young nymphs emerging from eggs are killed by dried residues. Remove linens and wash before reuse. On infested mattresses, apply only as spot treatment to tufts, seams, folds, and edges until moist; allow mattress to dry before remaking bed. Apply to bedsprings, box springs, and the interior of bed frames or headboards, including all cracks and joints. When upholstered furniture is infested, apply as a spot treatment only to the infested tufts, seams, folds and edges. Apply as a crack and crevice treatment to all baseboards, moldings, beneath floor coverings and carpets, closets, shelves, curtains, furniture and picture frames that may provide harborage to bed bugs. Inside empty luggage, apply to seams, folds and edges until moist. *Do not treat areas of furniture or upholstery where prolonged contact with humans will occur. Do no spray bed linens or other materials which come in direct contact with occupants of the bed.

    Q
How is Temprid Ready Spray with roaches? Can it also be used in conjunction with Gentrol IGR or Pointsource?
    A
Temprid Ready Spray works fantastic in treating roaches.  Temprid Ready Spray kills quickly, but also through transfer. We most certainly would recommend using an IGR like Gentrol IGR or Gentrol Point Source as part of your roach treatment.

  • Asked by Kathrin from San Antonio, Tx

    Q
I bought this spray to eliminate Springtails in my sinks & tub
I don't know if this was the right product to buy since I need to put it in the drains. Can I spray this directly in the sink & tub drain? If not, can you suggest something that will get in the drains, maybe a fogger or bug bomb? Thank you.
    A

You are correct, Temprid Ready Spray is not labeled to be used in drains. However, we do have a product called EcoVia that can safely be used in drains and eliminates springtails. EcoVia EC is labeled for use and kills of a wide range of flying, crawling and sucking insects such as ants, cockroaches, springtails, spiders, fleas, bed bugs, flies, wasps, mosquitoes, ticks, brown marmorated stink bugs, kudzu bugs, white flies, aphids, and many more.

    Q
Is Temprid Ready to Spray non repellent for carpenter ants?
I'm hoping this gets answered (I think will help many people). It is part of carpenter ant kit. But it seems like it has initial knockdown as well as residual... so I am confused. Will it interfere with baiting for ants or other non residual sprays I have applied? I really want to use, but am unsure where and how - in accordance with other carpenter ant products (all non repellents - trying to kill queen/s). Checkmate I need. :-). Thanks so much!
    A

Temprid Ready To Spray is slightly repellent and does offer a quick knockdown to ants sprayed directly and when it is first applied. This is helpful for ants in places where they pose an immediate issue and need to be removed quickly. After a day or so it is vitually undetectable and ants are killed more slowly allowing ants to travel over the treated areas where they will pick up the Temprid on their bodies and transfer it back to the nest and to the other ants, causing colony collapse.  As long as you do not place bait on areas where the Temprid has been sprayed it will not interfere with the baits.

    Q
What's the best insecticide for bedbugs?
I keep hearing Temprid, Bedlam Plus, and Demand CS. Which should I get or should I just get all three??
    A
Temprid Ready Spray is a very good product to spray directly on your furniture, mattress, box spring, around the bed frame and on the headboard. This can also be sprayed around the baseboards and cracks and crevices in your home. We would recommend using this in conjuction with a product like Demand CS. This will be sprayed around the baseboards and cracks and crevices in the rooms where bed bug activity has been detected. You will use these two products every 10-14 days until there is no bed bug activity for 30 days. We would also recommend using Cimexa Dust inside the wall voids. You will use a hand duster to puff dust inside the wall voids. This will last in the wall voids for up to 10 years.

  • Asked by Mdj from Philadelphia, Pa

    Q
What's best for treating headboards and sensitive crevices in and around bed
Bedlam? Temprid ready spray or Phantom aerosol spray?
    A

Bedlam Insectide, Temprid Ready Spray and Phantom Aerosol are all labeled to be used on mattresses and box springs for bed bugs.

Bedlam Insecticide is a residual aerosol spray specially designed to control bed bugs and various other pests as well. Bedlam may be used as for crack and crevice treatment and on and around baseboards, floorboards, headboards, and walls. This product is water-based and non-irritating, so it can be used to spot treat bedding and mattresses when controlling bed bugs. In addition, the product will not stain water-safe fabrics and surfaces.
Temprid Ready Spray cans come with two nozzles and a crack and crevice (C&C) straw. The nozzle with the smooth top produces a larger spray pattern perfect for bee's nests, windows, baseboards, and general application. The nozzle with the ridged (lined) top can be used with or without the C&C straw and is good for bed frames, edges of mattresses, voids, and bee holes in a wall. It is also labeled for various pests, including bed bugs and roaches.
Phantom Aerosol provides broad-spectrum control over numerous indoor pests including bed bugs, ants and cockroaches.  Phantom dries clear with no visible residue, and delivers long-residual non-repellent control. In other words, Phantom aerosol will stay around and kill pests long after you spray it.  Plus, the product has a transfer effect allowing insects to pick up the product and spread it to one another through touch and food-sharing, which kills even the pests you don't see.

    Q
How well does Temprid Ready Spray work for German roaches? How often should it be applied?
    A

Temprid Ready Spray is a great product and should do a good job towards helping you eradicate a roach infestation.   We do also recommend that you use an insect growth regulator (IGR) along with a roach bait gel in addition to an insecticide spray for best results.  Please take a look at our Roach Control Guide for more information on treating and preventing roaches.
