    Will Tenacity affect all varieties of Poa?
    I have what I believe is Poa but am not certain of the variety (annua or other). How can I determine what I have?
    A
    Tenacity Herbicide is not labeled to control Poa Annua/Annual Bluegrass in a post emergent application, it only states that it could cause injury to it if sprayed.  It is only labeled to be used to suppress poa annua when used as a pre-emergent. We recommend to contact your Cooperative Extension Office and speak with the Master Gardener to identify the weed species you need to treat for.

    Do you need to water in Tenacity?
    In an answer it says that you can water right away. Could you please clarify your statements? I will use it as a post-emergence application. Thank you for your assistance

    Tenacity Herbicide does need to be mixed with water when it is applied. You can water the lawn after it has been applied, but it is not necessary due to the product being mixed with water when applying. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

    What is the prefered PH? Also, the tank mixed 1/2 life?

    There are certain products that are susceptible to problems with high pH balances in water. If a product label does not specifically address this issue it is because this particular product does not usually have any issues with pH.  The product label for Tenacity does not list anything regarding pH levels.

    Once mixed with water you should use the product within 24 hours.

    I bought Tenacity to kill some small spurge in Buffalograss. What strength should I use in a one gallon spray
    It doesn't seem to be killing it. Should I use it stronger or more often? At first I used it 1/2 tsp in 1 gallon with 1/2 tsp surfactant

    Tenacity Herbicide does not list spurge as a weed that it controls on the product label so that would be why it is not working for this weed.  You would have better success using a product that specifically lists spurge on the label such as the Speedzone Southern.

    Will Tenacity Herbicide kill Bermuda grass?
    I am in KY, and I have a real problem with Bermuda grass .The product label says Bermuda grass is sensitive to it. I need something that will kill it.

    The product label states that Bermuda grass is sensitive to Tenacity but it would not be recommended as product to eliminate it since it is not labeled for this use.  Fusilade would be a better option depending on your turfgrass.

    We do not recommend applying herbicides including Tenacity Herbicide in temps over 90 degrees.

    Yes, Tenacity is labled to control Ground Ivy "Creeping Charlie" as post emergent control. We highly recommend using a temporary turf colorant like Turf Mark Blue so that you can see where you spray with the Tenacity to avoid overlapping. Tenacity is a great product, but also a very strong product so too much overlapping or mixing the product too strong can cause temporary damage and whitening to your turf around the ground ivy. The color will come back in the lawn after 3-4 weeks but to avoid this potential problem it is best to use a colorant to make sure no overlap occurs. To get optimum results for post emergent control it is recommended you use a Non Ionic Surfactant in your mixture as well.

    How do I get rid of Bermuda Grass in my yard?
    I bought Tenacity from your company hoping it would do the trick. We have Kentucky Blue Grass and we live in Michigan. Maybe it's to soon to tell since I applied two applications in the last two weeks.

    The product label states that Bermuda grass is sensitive to Tenacity but it would not be recommended as product to eliminate it since it is not labeled for this use.  Turflon Ester would be a better option for removing bermuda from cool season turf.

    Is it possible to apply Tenacity to a large area (one acre) with a hose-end sprayer?

    It is not recommended to use herbicides in hose end sprayers. The problem with using the hose end sprayer for the Tenacity Herbicide application is that they are not very accurate and you can wind up dispensing more/less product than needed in a given area which can lead to less than desirable results.

    Is it possible to use a hose end sprayer to apply Tenacity?
    A

    Tenacity should not be applied with a hose end applicator. Tenacity if not applied evenly across the yard can temporarily whiten your lawn and cause you to not see full control of the weeds you want to eliminate. Also most hose end sprayers will not dial down to the small amounts needed per 1000 sq/ft that the Tenacity requires. Tenacity is best applied with some form of a pump/tank sprayer in even strokes without excess overlapping.

    According to the Tenacity product label you will need to mix 1 tsp of product + 3 tsp surfactant with 2 gallon of water for spot treatments, using 1 gallon per 1000 sqft.

    Will Tenacity harm daylily?

    The product label for Tenacity does state that roses and daylillies are sensitive to it and says to avoid over-spray or drift of spray applications onto ornamentals or flower beds and gardens.

    Will Tenacity work on Dallisgrass?

    Per the product label, dallisgrass is sensitive to Tenacity. You should avoid spraying these turf areas.     What is the shelf life of Tenacity?

    The shelf life on most liquid herbicides all depends on how they are stored. If the product has been tightly sealed and kept out of sunlight and extreme temperatures, the shelf life is 3-5 years.

    Best times to apply Tenacity for zone 6b
    I want to use Tenacity for Nimblewill as a broadband post emergent now and later as a pre emergent to control re-infestation. Right now it is brown/tan in color in my lawn. Is it too late in the growing season to use it now?

    Broadcast treatments would be recommended if you are needing to actually treat the entire lawn for pre-emergence, if you are only needing to treat small areas or use as a post emergent then you can spot treat.     I'm confused whether or not it will hurt new Kentucky Bluegrass seed?
    I've read the label but it say's it hurts Fescue's when seeding but it also says it suppresses Bluegrass, Annual Poa annua. I need this cleared up as I'm about to seed. I've already put 1 app of Tenacity down.

    Kentucky Bluegrass (Poa pratensis) is different than regular Bluegrass (poa annua). It is true that Tenacity may reduce density of fine fescue seedings. Tenacity can be used on grass seed blends that contain less than 20% by weight of hard or fine fescue. It will not harm your Kentucky Bluegrass seeding. If you need more specific information on a turfgrass not mentioned on the product label you can reach the manufacturer at 866-796-4368.

    Is the application rate for a blanket spraying over entire yard the same as spot spraying with Tenacity?

    According to the Tenacity product label you will need to mix 1 tsp of product + 3 tsp surfactant with 2 gallons of water for spot treatments. You will not apply more than 5-8 ounces of Tenacity per acre as a broadcast application. Please click on the product label link for mixing and applications according to the type of turfgrass you have.
