    Q
Why can I not order Termidor SC in IN?
    A

We apologize that Termidor SC, Taurus SC and Navigator SC are restricted to Indiana so we are unable to ship those termiticides. You can check out a product that we have called Dominion 2L. A 27.5 fl oz bottle will make 50 gallons and treat 120 lineal feet of trenching/drilling per bottle. Please find our treatment article/videos here  for a successful application.

    Q
I accidentally used .8 ounces of Termidor SC per 4 gallons instead of the recommended amount.
What should I do to correct this?
    A

If you did not apply the correct amount of Termidor SC you would need to redo the entire trench and apply at the rate of 3.2 fl oz in 4 gallons per 10 lineal feet to get the correct application.

    Q
Termador SC dogs bringing it into house after rain
Yesterday we had a pest control company come out and treat for termites. Prior to this it rained a little bit so the soil was still wet. They applied the termidor SC around the perimeter and underneath of the home. They said it would dry within 2 hours time but there was no sun out, it was pretty dismal and after the 2 hours time it started to downpour and hasn't stopped. My worry is that we have dogs that need to go out to use the potty and I'm afraid they're going to be dragging it in and out of the house all over stuff. And we also have a pet bird that we have removed from the house prior to them spaying and are worried let this stuff is now contaminated the whole house because of the dogs and don't want anything to happen to the bird or the dogs for us in general. We're worried about touching things the dogs have contacted, and then bringing it in to the bird.
    A

Unfortunately, this is not a common situation and therefore, we are unable to advice. We recommend contacting the emergency number on the safety data sheet (SDS), 1-800-424-9300 and we also recommend to contact the company that performed the treatment.

    Q
Can Termidor SC be spray inside of brick walls that been drilled out for termites?
My house been drilled n bricks for Termites, can I spray this product n my drilled brick holes
    A

Yes, liquid termiticides can be used to drill and inject into brick. Normally, horizontal drilling through brick is not needed unless you have a hollow block wall leading into a basement that you need to treat on the inside. You would follow the instructions laid out at the link below to our Termite Treatment Guide on how to do a trench around the foundation of your home with Termidor to get the 10 year protection from subterranean termites. Any areas you have concrete against the foundation (i.e., patio, sidewalk, driveway/garage) where you can't trench, you would need to drill a hole every 12 inches across and treat the soil below the concrete. These instructions are also laid out in the guide and product label of Termidor SC which you can find a link to under the Product Documents section on the Termidor SC page

    Q
Can I treat at the surface and trench with Termidor SC?
I want to treat against ants (surface) but also want to prevent termites (trench). Can I do both simultaneously or do I need to wait a period of time prior after trenching before I apply at the surface level or vice versa?
    A

Termidor SC can be applied around foundation right after trenching. You would not want to spray and than trench, since the trench should not be disturbed after it has been done.

Spring application of Termidor SC Termiticide/Insecticide
I am currently battling carpenter ants that gained access during construction. I believe my spray of termidor sc five days ago is working but I’m wanting to plan ahead for spraying in the spring. My state of residence is in NJ. When would be the best time in the spring 2025 to put down the first application of the year for this product?
    A

We do not have a specific time for the application of Termidor SC in your area but usually you start applying when temperatures start to warm up around March. If you would like to know a better time frame you should contact your local extension office

    Q
Can you show the math for Termidor dilution?
When I do the math, 0.80 fluid ounces of Termidor per one gallon (128 fl. oz.) of water = 0.80/128.8 = 0.006 = 0.6%, not 0.06%. What am I doing wrong?
    A
When diluting Termidor SC with water, you will use 0.8 fluid ounces of the product per 1 gallon of water. There really is no math required for this. You will just measure 0.8 fluid ounces of the product using the measuring reservoir on the bottle. You will then pour that amount of product into 1 gallon of water. When using a 1 gallon sprayer, the idea is to fill the sprayer up half way (1/2 gallon), add the 0.8 ounces of Termidor SC, agitate (or shake up) the chemical, fill the sprayer to 1 gallon, and agitate the chemical again.

If you are using the product for the trenching method for termites, which requires 4 gallons of finished solution for each trench, then there is a little bit of math required. Since 0.8 fluid ounces goes into 1 gallon of water, you will use 3.2 fluid ounces per 4 gallons of water.

    Equation:
    0.8 x 4 = 3.2

0.8 represents the standard rate of the product.
4 represents the amount of water you are going to dilute the product in.
3.2 represents the total amount of product you will need to use in 4 gallons of water.

Therefore, you are going to dilute 3.2 fluid ounces of Termidor SC in 4 gallons of water. You will then pour the entire 4 gallons of solution (Termidor SC and water) into ONE 10 foot trench. You will need to do this until 4 gallons of solution has been applied to each trench around the entire perimeter of the home.

I hope this explanation provides you a bit of clarity. If not, please feel free to give us a call at (866) 581-87378.

    Q
I have a house 1440 square feet, how many bottles of Termidor SC would I need?
    A

You must find out how many lineal feet you have around the outside or your home. Unfortunately, the square footage just will not tell us how much you really have to treat. To find how many lineal feet you have, measure around the front, back and each side of your home. Add up the measurements, and you will have the total lineal feet. Use 4 gallons of finished solution per 10 lineal feet around the house.

For Example: A home with 200 lineal feet around the foundation would require 4 bottles of Termidor SC. Most homes require at least 4 bottles. For Termite control, Termidor SC is mixed at a rate of .80 fl oz. for each gallon of water used and each 20 oz bottle will make 24 gallons of solution and treats 60 lineal feet of trenching.?

    Q
Can I mix Termidor SC in with wet cement or grout?
Where my plumbing risers come threw the slab there is a gap around the pipe. I'm going to fill these with liquid grout/cement. Can I add Termidor to the solution?
    A

Termidor SC should not be mixed in wet cement or grout. It binds to soil when applied as directed on the label against the foundation for termite control/prevention.

    Q
Termite company proposing to flood crawlspace with Termidor SC
Tenting & trenching for active infestation. Proposing to 'flood crawlspace of my 100 year old home with Termidor SC. Would this do anything? Says 40 gallons or so (900 sq ft house). Says eventually will sink into ground but I cannot find anything on effaced of this as a treatment. Also, 'rodding for subterranean but I don't think plan on trenching...says every 10 to 12" using pressure gun. Does this create a barrier?
    A

We cannot recommend or advise to flood a crawlspace with Termidor SC unless concrete will be poured over it afterwards. You may view our Termidor SC and Flooding Q&A for more information on this. Also, here is the full product label so you may review complete application instructions and methods.

Professional companies usually will not dig a trench, but they will use the rodding method because they have the truck rig to be able to do so. This method is a much faster process. Rodding will still help to control termites.

    Q
How would I apply Termidor SC to a pole home?
My home is on sloping ground and sits up on poles. How would I apply the product to best protect my house? I have heard that I need to built a type of retaining wall around each pole and fill that with moisture retaining dirt and then soak that with Termidor. Is that the best approach?
    A

If your home is built on piers or wood beams, then you could use Termidor SC to trench the soil around each wooden pier/beam at the same rate that you would use to treat around a foundation (4 gallons of solution per 10 feet in a 6 inch x 6 inch trench).

    Q
If I apply Termidor SC for termites (trenching perimeter), will that also control ants?
    A

Termidor SC may kill some ants that go through the soil where you have trenched.  To get the best ant control you should also spray 1 foot up the foundation and out on the ground after trenching.

    Q
If my dog digs in the Termidor SC treated area after a day of drying will it kill him?
    A
If a dog was to dig in an area that was treated with

Termidor SC it would not cause harm if the product had completely dried. What you would be concern about would be that the barrier would be disturbed and most likely will need to reapply the product.

    Q
Can you use Termidor liquid concentrate in a mist blower to for lawn pests?
I was wondering if Termidor HE can be used as a perimeter application the exterior of my property annually per the label for pest control. -- Is it possible to use mist blower with Termidor HE? (tank rinsed out to prevent cross contamination) Same mist blower used for mosquito control, wanted to make sure that you can mix chemicals and use Termidor in mist blower.
    A

We do not carry Termidor HE but like Termidor SC, it cannot be applied as a broadcast application for pest control on the lawn. Therefore, we recommend using a backpack sprayer or a handpump sprayer, not a mist blower, to spray the perimeter of your home for general pest control. Termidor SC can only be used twice a year at a rate of 0.8 oz per gallon of water or 4 times a year at a rate of 0.4 oz per gallon of water.

I have a large frame house. Do I have to spray Termidor SC underneath the house as well as digging a trench?
What are my options? I don't want to crawl underneath the house to spray.
