Dwarf Fescue is a type of Tall Fescue. The full name would be Dwarf Tall Fescue, and yes we agree that does seem a bit of an oxymoron with the name but that is a true grass blend. You can do a quick google search to see some other varieties on the market including the 5 Star Fescue Grass Seed Blend we carry. According to an article online: "The biggest difference between dwarf and regular tall fescue is the texture of the grass. Tall fescue is a very wide-bladed grass, giving it a coarse appearance when mowed at 3 inches-plus, while the dwarf varieties are much narrower and softer-looking, much like bluegrass and other fine leaf rye grasses.
