I was tired of raccoons ruining my wire live traps so got this one. Best purchase I've ever made. Once caught, you can tip trap on end, insert hose & drown them... no stink from skunks either!!

I had several metal live traps destroyed by raccoons. I have caught 4 and no issues with the raccoon tearing up the trap. It is great for trapping skunks-dont get sprayed. I would highly recommend this trap.

I'm a facilities manager for a property on a skunk infested island off the coast of New England. If you have skunks this is the trap! Animals don't panic or spray and you can pick the traps up easily. I would have given it 5 stars but I feel the trip mechanism can be improved a little. We do get robbed from time to time even though we think we've made it as sensitive as we can get it.

A family of raccoons made a nest under my house within a week I had all four caught and relocated to a wildlife area. Tomahawk makes a great product

It is a little big for a skunk trap. I wish I could return it but not sure if I'm able to. I'm concerned about releasing the skunk. I wish there was a back door that was very easy to remove and run fast. Also, If the skunk was in there and I opened the door to let it out, wouldn't he step on the latch and re-lock himself in on the way out? There doesn't seem to be a way to prevent the door from closing again. I'm not sure about the spray of the skunk. Do they ever spray in there? But I liked the way that it was enclosed, except for the door. My neighbor has me scared to death about using the trap for fear of getting sprayed.

My one complaint is that it didn't have air holes & I couldn't tell what animal was trapped. I drilled air-holes myself.
