This trap is worth every penny. You are throwing money away buying traps at the big box stores. I caught a cute kitty cat. Easy to turn loose. Caught a coon that was hell bent to get into my well shed. Well made trap. It did not get torn up.

OK... today is the first chance I've had to set up your Pro-Trap. First impression was how sturdy and well made it is! I have a pesky groundhog to catch and re-introduce to the wild. Will rate as a 5 star for now Do I need to register my trap for warranty sake?

Effective and sturdy trap. To date, I have caught 25 coons, 13 opossums, and 1 armadillo without any damage to the trap. Once caught, the animal has not escaped trap. Animal release can be awkward and possibly hazardous if hands are not used carefully. I use a 2-3' rubber strap with hook on end to pull base of door up while using a 10-12" stick to push the top of the door back. This allows me to stand toward rear of door for the release and keeps my hands safely away from cage (coon grabbed my hand once before using this technique). I also have a string tied to release latch on top of cage to help me control it easier. Animal will usually run quickly away when released. Setting trap is simple but a little cumbersome. 4 1/2 stars is my rating because this trap does what it supposed to do--catch and hold targeted animals. Loss of 1/2 star due to above minor issues.

I saw this raccoon only once . It was the smartest and most destructive one I have ever dealt with . It chewed through my soffit board which I patched . It then chewed through my roof shingles and roof decking to get in the attic . At this point I had already tried to catch it in two Havahart traps with no success . I then set this trap and caught it the first night . It is a well built and sturdy trap .

These traps are hard-rugged and durable. Ever since I bought the first one, I've never been disappointed. Durability in withstanding and holding up to what it's intended for....I'm using them for Raccoons, armadillos and possums.

I love these traps. They're so tough that nothing can bust one up. I tried the Home Depot traps (Havaheart) and they got destroyed by armadillos. These will hande anything. Very heavy duty and will last forever.
