Double door is the way to go. I found out he was living under my shed so I put the trap where the ground was worn out and put some wire fencing around the bottom of the shed. I more or less funneled him into the trap. Set up Saturday afternoon and caught it Sunday morning. Let him go in the state forrest 7 miles away. Garden is doing great now. Trap worked flawlessly.

Super sturdy, doors unable to be opened from inside!

The weight of this cage is a whopping 14 lbs. by itself. I have tried using it with both doors open and just the front door too. Used a game camera along with trap and watched catching 2 smaller raccoons at one time. Using just one door allows the bait to be placed farther back from the plate. Can use the back door to easily place the bait and then close it again. Love the way it has a durable double duty doors.

This trap is SOLID. I had borrowed two different traps before finally buying this one. They were both ok and they worked but this trap is built better, heavier. I've caught a possum and 3 armidillos from under my house, (and I hope that's all). It was more expensive but it was made in the USA and I'm sure it will last. Very happy. Dan Mc.
Wish I could give this 10 stars!

The cost concerned me compared to other one door traps I have used. Once receiving the trap, it is easy to see and feel how much stronger of a trap this is. Better than that, within one week, I caught 3 armadillos! I have tried for 2 months with 2 one door traps and using boards to guide the armadillos into cage. Zero luck. Doesn't need bait or boards. Set it and wait for a capture!
Worth the price!

Caught the raccoon that had ripped open a trap I’d used for years. I placed the Tomahawk trap near the pet door, tied doors open and baited with marshmallows and cat food for 3 nights. Then I set the trap. My barn cats and their food required special consideration
