I read on the bag that if there's crabgrass already I can use a much higher rate of application. I applied it at the maximum rate per back label for existing crabgrass but now it appears my centipede grass is also dying. Could it be too much applied or should I look for other causes of centipede decline?
Per the Hi-Yield Weed and Grass Stopper with Dimension Herbicide label, you can apply 2 applications as long as you do not exceed the maximum annual rate of 9.2 lbs/1000 sq ft, and you do not apply this product later than 4 weeks after crabgrass germination. Please keep in mind we recommend watering it within 24 hours of application. Use of this product on lawns and ornamental turfgrasses that are not well established, or weakened by stress due to mechanical operations, pests, excessive temperatures, or lack of moisture may result in turfgrass injury.
