Topia is labeled for and will most certainly kill stink bugs. Having said that, trying to kill stink bugs after they have already moved indoors is a loosing battle. Stink bugs move indoors in large numbers in late fall to find a warm place to spend the winter. Usually 100's of these insects will invade a structure at a time. They gain entry by finding small openings on the exterior of the structure and then hide in hidden areas such as wall voids or attics. Once the heat comes on, some of the bugs become confused and will start to emerge into the living area. You can use a product such as
D-Force which offers a residual (
Topia does not have a residual) in cracks and crevices around the perimeter of the room to kill insects as they emerge. Vacuuming the stink bugs up as you find them is really the most effective thing you can do at this point. The hidden stinkbugs will leave your home in the spring when the weather warms up. Next fall, you should treat the exterior of your home with a product such as
Demon WP every month starting in August and ending in November. Prevention is much easier than removal. Please take a few minutes to read our article entitled
