I have 3/4 of an acre with no sprinkler system. I have about 5 patches of lawn the is brown and infested w/ grubs. It is Oct in Michigan. My plan is to treat only those areas now with Bayer and next June use a product to prevent grubs. Treating my whole yard is really a lot of time to moving sprinklers around. What is your opinion?
The best time to kill grubs is July through September, when they are young and actively feeding near the soil surface (first sign of damage) with Bio Advanced 24 Hour Grub Killer Plus Granules. If they are still active in your area you can apply to the effected spots but we would also recommend applying a few feet out around the infested areas.
