To be effective, Trifluralin should be worked into the soil within one day of initial application. Once in the soil it puts a stop to root development and inhibits weed germination by interrupting mitosis.

Trifluralin Uses

Trifluralin is usually applied as a spray or soil treatment. It has been EPA approved for a huge number of crops including broccoli, onions, leafy greens, cabbage, tomatoes, beans, soybeans, wheat, sugar cane, sugar beet and potatoes.  Trifuralin can also be used for cotton, corn, and crops raised for animal feed.
