Does it kill fleas and ticks on dogs? Is it SAFE? Pyrethrins are derived from the chrysanthemum flower. That is also organic. Comparatively speaking how is your product more effective than pyrethrins? Methoprene is an IGR which is a sterilization for many insects. How truthfully effective is yours? Read Full Answer »Urthpet Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth does not contain an IGR and does not kill any insects.  It contains Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth and minerals to help improve health when ingested and is safe when used as directed.  Pyrethrin products are natural insecticides that only kill on contact but do work good when done. We do carry a few methropene products and they have been proven to be very effective as part of an indoor only flea/tick treatment program.
