Using foggers to kill mosquitoes and other pests.

What is your advice on fogging to reduce mosquitoes and other pests? What is the best kind of fogger? Is this a good long term strategy?

Answer:

Fogging is an effective means of eliminating Mosquitoes and other select pest. Although, depending on the fogging concentrate you choose to use will determine how often treatments should be performed. All of the foggers that we carry are great foggers but we highly recommend the Fogmaster Micro-Jet ULV 7401. This fogger features precise adjustment of particle size, as small as 7-10 micron VMD, for ultra low volume application. The fogger covers 2-4,000 sq. ft. per minute. In addition, it can be adjusted to deliver larger droplets for space spraying and wet fogging. The Fogmaster handles both wet and oil-based liquids. However, the fogging solution thatyou choose is more important than the equipment you select. My best recommendation for a fogging solution would be Shockwave. This new fogging concentrate delivers the highest level immediate control with the added benefit of an insect growth regulator (IGR) to stop the reproductive cycle of mosquitoes and other labeled pest.  Shockwave will also flush insects out of their hiding places, provide fast knockdown, and lasting residual activity. Shockwave offers a 30 day residual. Shockwave contains dual killing agents (Pyrethrum and Esfenvalerate) and is dual synergized (PBO and MGK-264) plus it also has Pyriproxyfen (IGR) making it one of the best all in one insecticides available. This product may be used in homes or businesses, indoors or outdoors around structures.
