Our hay field, (orchard grass, timothy a little clover & alfalfa) is over-run with meadow and green or yellow foxtail. and a lot of milkweed. We also have black locust tree starts & some poison ivy. How will Prowl H2O do on these unwanted invaders?
Prowl H2O Herbicide will provide pre-emergent control for green and yellow foxtail but will not work on milkweed or poison ivy. Unfortunately, there are no other pre-emergents for use in hay fields labeled for these weeds. Check out Weedmaster for use as a post-emergent, it can be used in some hay fields except in alfalfa or clover. We also recommend contacting your local extension office or department of agriculture for other recommendations we may not be aware of.
