I'm at war with these flies.

Not sure yet what kind of flies these are. They were in our drains, so I thought they were drain flies. We found a source in our sink catch and replaced that and cleaned all of our drain catches. Lots are gone. We also used the invade drain stuff in every drain. Now, as I'm sitting I. The living room, a black tiny fly is torturing me. It will land on my food, it will land on my hands and body, it will bite. Our pest control company gave us these. I've had one by our kitchen drain and one under the light where I'm sitting in the living room. It hasn't caught these flies at all. So now, I've taken the kids off and added my own little bowl with cider vinegar and dish soap. Game on. Let's see if this round will kill any of these beasts? Next plan is to put out soapy water, I guess? What else can I do?
Not very effective

Vinegar in a jar worked better than this product. My Mom had fruit flies and they were driving her crazy. I ordered 2 of these and took them both to her house and set them up and the fruit flies remained till I put vinegar and dish soap in jar and put on her counter. But there are a few remining.
These aren't worth the money

We do a lot of juicing and have various fruits sitting out all of the time. We were over run by fruit flies. When a fruit fly flew out of my banana cream pie and hit me in the nose, I ordered these. Within a couple of days after putting out a couple, the flies were gone! They are easy to hide and they don't create an odor in the area where I put them. I change them every couple of months.
Great Product

I put these traps out a couple of weeks ago and so far, I am not thrilled with the results.
Expert response:
We are sorry to hear that you are not seeing the expected results. The traps will help to capture adult fruit flies but you must find the fruit fly breeding source to eradicate the infestation. I purchased these for my son & daughter-in-law. After about a month, I checked with them to see if they were working. They said they worked for about a week & that was it. I had originally wanted a different brand but it was unavailable until 9/30. So decided to give these a try. Sorry I wasted my $$$. I only give this product two stars.

Didn't work for me

These things said they controlled drosophila repleta species, which is what I am convinced I have happening in our kitchen. However, these flies are not interested at all in these traps. The flies I have don't seem interested in vinegar, hence why all the touted homemade traps have never worked for my situation. I thought maybe the "bait" in these traps would be different than what I could make myself, but they smell exactly like Apple Cider Vinegar, and did not lure the flies at all!
