Setting the trap
By Joy on 05/29/2010
This is the very best video to show exactly how to set the trap!!!! I was setting it wrong and wondering why the trap would be tripped and the bait gone. Thanks soooooooo very much for your help! By the way I caught a 14 inch rat (without the tail) that had been eating the insulation of my house and coming up around the pipes! This trap works very well and is inexpensive!!!!! Joy

It's killing the rats
By Bb on 06/12/2020
So far I've caught/killed two rats - rather young. For the first two nights, the bait disappeared because the trap didn't go off. Perhaps the bait dried up, shrank and so it didn't go off - don't know. Have been more diligent to press the tab down firmly with a flat screwdriver. Unfortunately, more mature rats are more intelligent and avoid the trap. Best to catch baby rats by the snap trap and with glue traps. Caught ten babies with glue traps.

Older model of Victor Rat Traps
By Ken on 10/18/2024
The company that produces these wooden Rat traps has 2 models: one with the yellow plastic bait holder (designed to look like cheese) and the one with the metal bait holder. Several vendors are only selling the yellow plastic bait holders but I wanted the one with the metal bait holder. DOMYOWN was the only vendor which still had these in stock, including the company that makes them. They came as promised. So thus us the vendor to use if that's what you want.
