Okay when inserting the rod you want to make sure to get the flat end and insert it into the hole as it's shown. Then make sure you push it all the way in by pressing the button in making sure its snug all the way in. Then taking the bait gel and locking it in. Now when using the other Masterline gun you want to make sure you enter the flat end first, not the round end. A common mistake is to insert it backwards.
