Finding out your home or business is infested with bed bugs can definitely be scary. Even worse is not knowing where  they're hiding. Never fear, in just four steps we'll show you how to locate then just like the pros.

Step one:
Before beginning, make sure to have a bright flash light and flat edges object like a credit card. With these objects you can search in cracks, crevices, and folds in the furniture fabric more thoroughly than you can with just your fingers.

Step two:
The number one area to search for bed bugs is on and around your bed and bed frame.  Start by checking the sheets and blankets for small blood sports and skill moltings that are often left by the feeding bed bugs. Be sure to check carefully along the tufts, folds, and seams of the mattress as those are primary areas where the bed bugs harbor. If you are staying in a hotel that has a head board, lift it up and inspect the area between the wall and the head board.

Step three:
Be sure to check areas where people spend time resting or sitting idle, such as recliners, couches, and computer chairs. Check deep in cracks and crevices in the chair and under cushions.
Step four:
In order to have a complete inspection you'll need to check around the edges or perimeters. Look at the edges of baseboards and carpet for any evidence of bed bugs.  Make sure to also check curtains, underneath lamps, wall mounted lamps, behind wall sockets, end tables, and picture frames.

It's that easy with the expert help from Do My Own Pest Control.com.
