Selective Pre-Emergent Herbicide For Warm Season Grasses

A selective pre-emergent herbicide combines two herbicide categories into one powerful product that allows you to prevent weeds while keeping your lawn looking its best. Before choosing the right product, it’s good to understand these categories.

  • Selective herbicides only control weeds that are listed on the label, and are formulated so that turf and other plants are not affected by the herbicide.
  • Pre-emergent herbicides control weed seeds when they’re germinating underground, so they are killed before they emerge above ground in your yard.

Keep in mind that pre-emergent herbicides must be applied at the right time of year. In the spring, apply as soon as the soil temperature warms up to about 55 degrees.
