It works, but could be better

I've caught some squirrels and chipmunks but there needs to be a cover or a cap over one end so the bait can be put past the trip plate. I have had several squirrels eat the bait off the plate without getting in the trap and tripping the plate. I have now put wire over one end to let light through but block one end. We'll see how that goes. The company should make a wire cover for one end that can be removed to put bait close to that end so rodents have to trip the plate to get to the bait.
