Can’t say enough about this trap! I’ve caught 15 California ground squirrels in the last few months (I have two and I am ordering four more)! Other review says it should have wire or something at end! That’s not a good idea because it would limit the options on how to use it! The way it comes with both ends open allows many ways to use it! For instance, I put peanut butter inside the tube at one end with a heavy paver completely blocking that end so the squirrel has to go deep inside to get the peanut butter and the trap releases and gets them thoroughly every time! Also, I mount the trap tube on a pressure treated 2x6 that extends over 8” on each end so it is steady and it is easy to rest the paver and assure stability. Also helps when releasing the dead squirrel into a paper bag so “no touch” technique! I learned a lot by researching 100’s of reviews before I bought this one before! If I had time I would do a YouTube video!
