Kevin from Indianapolis writes

Weeds have kept growing and have gotten worse since Tenacity application last week, should I reapply?

I mixed 2 gallons of water, 1 teaspoon of Tenacity, 3 teaspoon of surfactant, as well as 3 teaspoons of Lazer Blue Ddye. I covered all the weeds, crabgrass, and clover thoroughly, but after a week all weeds have grown larger, more green and brighter yellow than I've ever seen them in my yard. I measured and it is 2 weeds per squarefoot. By now shouldn't the weeds be smaller or looking sickly? Can I go ahead and reapply now? Or should I switch to a different product?

Answer:

Foliage of treated weeds will cease growth after Tenacity Herbicide application, then turn white (loss of chlorophyll) and death may take up to three weeks. A repeat application is required after two to three weeks for improved postemergence weed control.
