I work in a Natural Resource Program and we have Scale and Mealy bug feeding on our rare native species, (wild population and out-planted populations). I have researched a number of insecticide soap labels but none seem to say anything about uses in Natural Resource Areas. Will we need to apply for a special uses permit if I wish to use an commercial insecticide soap or is there one on the market that you know of that is labeled for Natural Resource use.
Unfortunately we do not have the information you are seeking. You will need to contact the Dept of Agriculture in your state for a list of approved pesticides in Natural Resource areas.
