Springtails are present in your yard because there is a moisture issue in the area. If you are watering your lawn regularly you may want to stop for a week or so to give your yard time to dry out as springtails need moisture to survive. You will also want to look for potential nest spots around the home like near pools or concrete patios/walkways. As long as you are not spraying over edible vegetation you would want to use an insecticide spray like Bifen IT around the foundation of the home and concrete areas and the yard. Or you could use the Bifen IT concentrate around the foundation, and use the Bifen granules in the yard for a little longer control. Please read our article on How To Get Rid Of Springtails and compare the harborage sites listed with your yard to see what non-chemical steps you can take to eliminate the population on your property.
